We offer a complete range of acne treatments. We emphasize acne education.  Important things to remember about acne management are;

• Acne is a genetic condition. It can be treated and controlled very effectively but cannot be cured.
• Effective management of acne requires patience and commitment.
• Hormones, certain foods, stress and certain medications can exacerbate acne breakouts.
• We offer Accutane and Photodynamic treatment (off label, not FDA approved) for severe nodulocystic acne in men and women.
• Acne is a scarring condition and can lead to severe scarring. It is very important to control acne breakouts before attempting to treat scars.
• Acne is a medical condition and most insurance would cover medications and office visits.

Acne Scars

There are several different types of acne scars and they usually require a combination of treatments. A scar can’t be removed but can be effectively made less noticeable.  The younger the scars, the easier it is to treat them.  Old scars are somewhat difficult to treat.

Important Information about acne scar treatment:

• We offer Subcision, TCA Cross treatment, RF Microneedling, Fractional CO2 laser, Fillers, PDO threads, and Chemical Peels to treat acne scars.
• A combination of these treatments is required in most cases.
• We also offer punch excision, and surgical excision of large ugly scars.
• Acne scars are considered a cosmetic issue and treatment is not covered by insurance.
• We offer a free consultation to help decide which combination of treatments would produce optimal results for a given individual.
